the reasons why I do not have a savings....

I am LOVING the new casual, chic, yet "put together" Look!
All of the things that I am listing I would personally wear together. These pieces can be pulled off in one look or worn separately.
My MUST HAVES in the next few weeks (You have been seeing these trends for awhile now) are as followed...

1. Boyfriend Jeans: The jeans pictured are by Current/Elliot and have been in every magazine and on every celeb! They look so comfortable and surprisingly look great with heels. A great flat or gladiator sandal also complements the style! I have yet to find the perfect pair for my body BUT I am on the look out! I would wear these jeans with a simple racer back tank or a fitted low v-neck tee. Keep it simple and sass the outfit up with accessories!

2. Fringe Handbags: This is definitely a trend and is still very important for Fall 09. It hits the GLOBAL trend that we are seeing on the runway! The bag pictured is by Juicy Couture and is under $300! The bag that I am purchasing (or might have already by the time you read this) is Nordstrom bag that is $148!! It has a convertible strap so it can be worn as a hobo, long shoulder or cross body! So many ways to wear the bag. The bag I want has a little less Fringe detailing!

3. The Gladiator Sandal: I am loving that flats are so in and so versatile. I am a HUGE lover of Flip Flops but I appreciate a fantastic flat that can be dressed up or down. The first shoe is the Chancee by Steven by Steve Madden and it is around $80 bucks. The second is the Boogle by Steve Madden and they are currently $49.90 and 15% off the original price. I am leaning towards the cheaper pair for two reasons...I heart the studding and the suede. They look more comfortable. I really like the whole "cage look" tie in of the first pair. What is a girl to do??? Buy both? Hmmmm......

4. The linen scarf: I already have 4 of these scarves. They go with EVERYTHING and are really cheap...32 dollars!! I am not found of how it is pictured. This scarf looks better looped and showing off the fringe in a more urban or "street scarf" way. I would pick a jewel toned color to off set the metallic shoe. I could honestly wear a scarf every day!!!
*** The "street scarf" look is worn closer to the neck, the fabric is draped to look more triangular against the chest. It is not so preppy as the look pictured***

I know that you will all be proud that I chose more "price conscious" pieces! I don't ALWAYS love Designer. :)

Consistency

Be on the lookout...
I will be updating more consistently.

I am turning over a new leaf, starting with my blog!

I have about 5 blogs in creation mode right now. I miss writing and work has kept me on my toes and with the desire to be as faraway from my computer as possible!

So keep an eye out for a few blogs on Fashion, my work out progress, the media and more.

Thanks for those that check in frequently (Leslie) I am working on keeping you happy ;)

Daddy's Day

Most people tend to think that their Dad is the best!
And I have to say that my Dad REALLY is!

Not much has changed since Last Year's post.

At this time in his life I would have to say the one word that describes him is ADMIRABLE! He is a man that everyone wants to know, and he touches everyone that crosses his path in some way. He has the kindest soul and smiling eyes. He makes you feel at ease. He is the person that I strive to be like. His love is overwhelming and non judgemental! If you don't know him you should! Let me know and I will introduce you!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DADDY!!!

You are SO loved!

my "Perfect Life"

I decided that I am living my "perfect life" while I am not working and figured out that I would make an INCREDIBLE housewife. HAHA.

My creativity bug hit and I am cleaning (BY choice) and in the mood to rearrange my furniture to create a new look, and SPACE, in my home! I HATE cleaning so this is quite a new feeling for me and to be honest I have never been very domestic and NEVER understood why people got so excited about their homes! I am very excited to see how this works. I will take pics when the place doesn't look like such a pigsty! For some reason I made it messier in my attempts at organizing. SO you will be able to see the furniture move!

What is even better is that I have been able to eat on a 2-3 hour basis which is BEST for my body and I have been hitting the gym daily! When I accomplish those things I don't feel bad for sitting on the couch watching T.V., reading mags or a GREAT book! And let's not forget surfing the Internet and writing my blog regularly!

So how can I get paid to do this every day?????????????????????

Vacay Challenge Part Deux

It is 11:48pm and I just got back from the gym! I did it! Second day in a row. Only three days left in the challenge. My friend Tasha was kind enough to meet me at 10:15pm to work out. We did legs, abs and cardio! It felt good! I will meet my goal!

June Gloom has set in...

Do you ever have one of those days where you question absolutely everything? Where you wonder if you are on the right track, doing the right thing? I had one of those days today...and my mind is whirling!

I think that the hardest thing is when you want to just turn everything off, or stop time, but you can't. It never ends, it never stops. It can be overwhelming.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened today, yet it was different. And I am left pondering!

The Vacation Challenge

Anyone that knows me knows that the one reason that I feel that I have a hard time losing weight is due to my schedule. If I didn't work as much, travel as often or commute to San Diego I would have more time and energy to dedicate to my fitness desires.

So I am on vacation and I decided to stay home because home is where I am the least. And since I have carved out time I want to prove to myself that I can frequent the gym on a regular basis.

It is Monday and I went to the gym this evening AFTER I took a long and brisk walk this afternoon. I also signed back up with my trainer, HUNTER!!!

The challenge is to make it to the gym or complete some kind of work out every day during this week (And I mean work week M-F). I already have a pretty booked week and it will be challenging to fit it in! Remember that I HATE getting ready and working out=showers and doing my hair! I would like to say that I am not a sweaty girl, but I am!

SO this is where YOU (you as in my friends and family) come in. I need help and motivation, kind comments and encouragement to make this happen. There are many ways to communicate with me and I ask that you do!

Call, text, Facebook, email, Twitter or COMMENT on my blog! I thank you in advance for helping me "Work on my Fitness"!!!!

I will probably hit the gym. AND do some major cleaning and organizing!
